Video Games Easter Eggs.
1.) Grand Theft Auto V: The Ghost of Mount Gordo.
Yep, that happens. Presumably as a way to address the rumors of ghostly activity and the accusations of misogyny in one fell swoop, Rockstar Games went ahead and hid a she-spook in the latest game. If you want to see it for yourself, you'll need to: Be at Mount Gordo between 11 p.m. and midnight on the game's clock, and make sure your cat isn't in the room while you're playing, because if it jumps on you when the ghost appears you're gonna die for real. Then there'll be two ghosts here, and we're not sure if we can handle that.
2.) Silent Hill 4 - Robbie the Rabbit.
This “cute” fluffy toy makes several disturbing cameos throughout the Silent Hill series, but his creepy highlight is in The Room. Whenever lead protagonist Henry Townshend peeps through the hole in his bedroom wall to spy on his attractive neighbor Eileen Galvin (look, this is a Silent Hill game – this sort of thing just happens) he can see Robbie slumped on her bed. However, later in the game Galvin is rushed to hospital and, if the player peeks into her room again, Robbie is now turned toward the camera, terrifyingly pointing his foot at you – just like the scary monkey in Family Guy. Except pink. And a rabbit.
3.) Borderlands 2 – Cavern of the Creepers.
In the game’s Caustic Caverns area, among the labyrinth of abandoned mining tunnels, players can find a hidden chamber filled with creepers, the exploding monsters from Minecraft. There are also several different Minecraft blocks that can be smashed to reveal loot and useful items (including blocky Minecraft heads for your character to wear). It’s only one of the several cultural references that Gearbox hid in its crazed sci-fi shooter – Dark Souls and Lord of the Rings also crop up.
4.) Portal – the lair of the Rat Man.
The Aperture science centre holds a wealth of disturbing secrets, but persistent players of Valve’s brilliant first-person puzzler could discover the best. Hidden away throughout Portal and its sequel are secret dens, the walls of which are covered in bizarre diagrams and notes. It’s all the work of scientist Doug Rat-man who became trapped in underground lab and slowly went insane. One of Rat-man’s scrawls is the now legendary phrase: “the cake is a lie”.
5.) Grand Theft Auto V - the Thelma and Louise ending.
Everyone has their favorite Grand Theft Auto Easter egg – there are hundreds of them – but we love the poignant drama of this one. If you steal a chopper and fly over a certain mountainous location after 7pm in the evening, you see a vintage car reenacting the famous ending of Ridley Scott’s movie Thelma and Louise, driving over the edge of a vast edifice. There’s even a group of police cars nearby – although sadly you don’t get Trevor dressed as Harvey Keitel running toward the doomed duo.

Mark Epton: Film Noir.
IMAGE 1

The image captured me as it is a still point from a film which I do not know the name off, this scene will be very easy to create create bar and have some one blow smoke in my face, there is no message in this photo as it is just a still from an unknown film. The time stamp for this photo seems like a generic 1950's romance/mafia film.

This image is just as easy as the first to recreate all I need is a fake gun, A fedora, cigarette and cigarette tray, table and a 1960's type lamp.
there is no message for this image and the time stamp 1950's.

1950's again is the time stamp, the photo itself is very ombious looking whom is this fellow looking for? or is it that he is being hunted by the police or mafia? Easy to replicate
all I need is some blinds, a dark room and a cigarette.

This is a creepy 1940's type of thriller the suspicious hand about to grab the phone off the obviously terrified woman is it a killer? or the mafia? who knows! an obviously easy to create photo I just need someone as my guinea pig and a old phone.
Mark Epton: Martin Parr Butlins.

What time period do you think the photograph was taken? Give
reasons for your answer.
My
Answer is the 1980’s time period. Plus the lack of safety precautions and the
clothing for me just screams 80’s.
What do you think was the genre/subject?
I would
assume the subject is for a holiday brochure or just a generic post card cover.
Are the elements in the shot balanced?
The Photo is in fact very much balanced the monorail suggests this as its very sturdy.
What message could the photograph be trying to convey?
"come to butlins" is what i am feeling from this message plus it helps the meaning as their is old people in there proving its for all ages.
Do
you notice anything striking about the shot?
All the bright colors and the fact that it is not of our time.
Do you think consent was needed from the subjects?
Not at all as their was no concept of pedophiles ever being a danger back then plus the photographer could have been hired by the place to take the photos.
What is the viewpoint?
The viewpoint of this photo is eye level.
If you were to produce this shot what would you do differently?
Ironically nothing at all? honestly this has captured a brilliant representation of a pause in time! the 80's best era of all and the clothes are colorful plus less of consent is needed.

Marisa's Evaluation: Freaky Advert/Filming.
Marisa’s Evaluation.
For the video production advert Myself (Actor), Reece (Actor) and Paige (Director) worked hard to produce a short fifteen to thirty second freaky video advert for our energy bar called "Avidity”.
We were given a maximum of three different locations along as they were in or around the college. After collecting the camera equipment from the media room we took the camera out with us and commence filming which was quickly stopped about thirty minutes into it because we were told unless we had permission we cannot film in the car park (which was our first and only choice). We then had to come back and re edit the whole story board again then we started filming again luckily with it being the college we made a great effort and god our filming done in perfect time.
After filming had finished we had to then go and edit the shots in a video editing software called Adobe Premiere Pro and although I never got the chance to use to due to time just being able to see the different tools to be used and fooled around with I can’t wait to see what or how our editing will come out. We used the storyboard design heavily on what certain shots would be like, how we would then do those shots and make sure it was the right shot and how to make it freaky and so thats what had to change too because like I said we were kicked out about 30 minutes into filming.
However we learnt how to turn the camera on first as some people don't know how too (I got it first try as I have had experience using that type of video camera before) the one thing i didn’t know about however was about how to set the white balance on so that the picture is actually being filmed in the right kind of colour contrasts and doesn't look weird or all white.
I feel accomplished as well as proud about our final groups work because we put a lot of thought into it and now it’s all most complete, If I could do it again I would probably do a whole lot more research into the place we choose as I do not want to be fined or threatened with legal action if we break any laws being on the property without permission.
None the less here is a screenshot of the adobe premiere pro editing software.

Owain Davies Evaluation.
In this Evaluation I will explain how I learned to use Photoshop to create my products magazine cover, Myself and my group produced a nutritional healthy energy bar that is called "avidity" (Another terminology for Energy) I mean of course we had quite a few ideas that ranged from deodorant to a drink but a bar seemed at the time the best bet as not many other people had done an energy bar although another group had done a chocolate bar but the difference is that ours is for fitness and helps provide a burst of energy we did look at alternate names like "zeal" but the rest of the group including myself couldn’t find an extra word that clicked with the name.. so we googled other names for zeal and thats when Avidity came up which means energy or enthusiasm.
We were tasked on creating a print advert and also had a list of all the things it contains inside the bar and that it was only £1 which is the retail price, we also had to come up with an advert between fifteen and thirty seconds long promoting our product (A.K.A an advert) we also researched a lot of things like what were in nutritional or energetic bars. We also had to to get the dimensions for product, And how we were going to make our advert freaky (watching freaky and unusual TV adverts proved helpful.)
Myself and my classmates learned many skills for creating the print advert like how to create it in Photoshop and the font for our product from a website called “Da Font" which proved incredibly helpful on my own printed advert as I will show you soon, I am very happy with the print advert as well as myself for all the work I put into this project I enjoyed it greatly and I can’t wait for the next one I am given. I have also learned what the usage of the variety of tools, including the section tool, which adds and affects and also manipulates the image! as stated below.
CTRL-T — Helps makes the image bigger plus rotates it.
CTRL-D — Which Deselects the image.
CTRL+ — Zooms into the image
CTRL - — Zooms out of the image
