Mark Epton Lesson: Screen-less Images.

The Setup.

During the first lesson of today, We were given an explanation and example on how to capture photographs on a professional level. We were given the equipment to do our own photographs on 6 different images Although we did run into an unexpected fault, The SD card managed to wipe itself or decided it wasn't going to work with the camera.*This was straight after this picture was taken of the setup*. The equipment we used was an Lumia Camera and on red head light, the background was a white piece of paper so it would be easy to Photoshop out.

This is the Kit Kat I took a photo of using the set up we had. I then put the image into Photoshop and messed about with curves, I Did this with all the other photos we took. The following images are what we had to retake due to the camera malfunctioning. *as mentioned before*

Before Photoshop.
Sam's Passport Hard Drive.

After Photoshop.

Sam's Headphones.
These images is all we could take in the amount of time we had after the first camera malfunctioned or the SD card wiped itself, We are still unsure what happened.

Ghosts and Photoshop.

In this lesson I have learned to do Photoshop and creating my own ghostly images by over laying photos and modifying it.

As for example i used 3 different images. A ghostly woman can be seen in the corner holding an ax spooky! and a simple train coming off its rails!
The second image I created is to represent a lonely unearthly being prowling the dark forest road hoping for a driver to pick her up. simple editing once I got the hang of it.
The banner was extremely hard to do for me ironically.

Ghostly Photo shopped Images.

Wasp/Camera Angles.

In the lesson we were told to research and watch a short film called "Wasp" by Andrea Arnold.

the film showed the life of an under earning mother trying to raise kids her ex boyfriend left her with while trying to care for her kids and trying to get an old love interest attention.

the task that was given is that we had to find 10 different camera angles and put them with the correct time stamps.

Getting To Know Your Camera.

Sound in Advertising.

I have choosen the No. 7 Advert feauturing Jessie J's Bouncy Self empowered song on how to feel beautiful wearing make up!

The song is in a medium paced tempo beautifully tied together with a jolly ammount of Major Keys increasing the happieness and sound to the advert.

There is also a small part maybe about 2 seconds long of a woman doing non-diegetic sound by voicing over the commercial. The keys of the song start from low to gradually build into a happy song so a mixture if you please. The link for the video is feautured below.

The target Audiance for this advert would be woman aged 18-50.

The Second advert is for the 2015 Kia Soul EV and feauturing a bunch of Scientist Hamsters creating a new Electronic Strain of the Kia franchise.

The song used in this advert is a personal favourote of mine: Maroon 5's Animals.

It kind of ties into the advert as Hamsters are infact animals (Mind Blown I Know) the Tempo of the song is slow but becomes quite fast paced as it carrys on.

The keys to the song is abit of a mixture between Major and Minor as it starts off depressive but gets into it as the advert concludes.

There is a non diagetic sound being the electricity and the sound of the hamsters, other than that there isn't really anymore that I can hear anyway.

Target Audiance is in the 20's-40's as it appeals to younger audiances who can drive.
